Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of GTM Composer operated by New North Digital (“NND”, “we”). By accessing or using the tool you agree to them. Last updated 2026-05-25.

1. The service

GTM Composer lets authenticated users compose Google Tag Manager web and server containers from a structured client profile, lint the composed output, and deploy it to GTM containers they own via the Google Tag Manager API. The tool, its interfaces, its module catalog, and the composition methodology (the “Service”) are proprietary software developed by NND.

2. Licence to use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own business purposes on the GTM containers you control. You may not sublicence, resell, or grant access to third parties without written permission.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You confirm you are authorised to deploy to every GTM container you target with the Service. Composing or deploying to containers you do not own or operate without permission is a breach of these terms.
  • The Service writes to non-live workspaces only and never auto-publishes. You are responsible for the human review of every workspace before pressing “Publish” in the GTM UI.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the credentials you enter into profiles (CAPI tokens, pixel IDs, sGTM keys, etc.) and for keeping them current.
  • You may not compose or deploy containers whose purpose is to exfiltrate data to endpoints you do not control on behalf of the container's owner, to bypass consent collection, or to violate applicable law. The composed-output linter actively flags this category of attempt; sustained or repeated attempts result in account termination.

4. Prohibited uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source, module catalog, or composition methodology of the Service, except to the limited extent allowed by mandatory law.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service, including headless browsers, CI scrapers, or LLM crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, CCBot, Bytespider, etc.).
  • Use the Service, its module catalog, or its composed output to train machine learning or generative AI models, including retrieval-augmented generation and fine-tuning.
  • Redistribute, republish, or create derivative works of the Service, its user interface, its module catalog, or its composed output, beyond the GTM container JSON you deploy to your own property.
  • Circumvent or probe the authentication, rate limiting, abuse linter, manual-review queue, or any other access-control mechanism.
  • Use the Service to compose containers targeting GTM accounts you do not own or are not authorised to manage.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, its source code, its module catalog, its composition methodology, its copy, its visual design, and all documentation are and remain the exclusive property of NND. You retain ownership of the client profiles you submit and the GTM containers you deploy. Composed container output for your data is yours to use internally; redistribution or public republication of the composed output is not allowed without written consent.

6. AI training opt-out

Use of the Service, its interfaces, its module catalog, or its outputs as input for training or evaluating generative AI, large language models, or predictive systems is expressly prohibited. This prohibition is also signalled via /robots.txt and standard noai response headers. Ignoring those signals does not grant consent.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an as-is, best-effort basis. NND may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. Compose + deploy paths depend on third-party APIs (Google, Vercel, Neon); we do not warrant their availability or quota.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NND is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, broken tracking, misconfigured containers, or data loss in your GTM account. You remain responsible for the human review and publish of every deploy. Total liability is capped at fees paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months, or EUR 100 if the Service is used free of charge.

9. Termination

We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. You can terminate your account at any time by calling POST /api/account/delete while signed in, or by emailing hello@newnorth.nl. Deletion handling is described in the privacy notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are resolved by the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
